Community

Anchorage Early Learning is situated in the stunning suburb of Grays Point in the Sutherland Shire. We treasure our relationships with the local and wider community and believe that participating in community events and with those who live and work around us, as well as exploring our surrounds, is vital to a child’s sense of belonging.
Our children and Educators participate in regular charity days and implement child-led event days to support and raise awareness for various foundations throughout the year.

We engage in excursions around Grays Point that contribute to our current learning including going to the local café ‘The Grayzing Point’ to extend on learning about money, and visiting a family of the Centre’s house to dig for worms for our worm farm. We regularly implement excursions to our local primary school which include visits to Kindergarten classrooms, the library, before and after school care, and to join in events including the annual Book Week Parade.
