Meals and Nutrition

Babies, toddlers and children need sufficient quality, fresh and nutritious foods to grow and develop normally, in conjunction with physical activity. These early years of their life are crucial in establishing healthy eating behaviours. Anchorage Early Learning provide all meals during their day from Kids Gourment Food, including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, snacks and water. The babies have fresh vegetables and fruits. The toddlers and pre-schoolers also enjoy a wide variety of nutritionally balanced meals. Kids Gourmet works with Nutritionists, dietitians and consults with national advisory groups the ensure the highest nutritional standards. They have a six week rotational menu so as your child is eating food from all the five food groups, recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

In the nursery, Anchorage Early Learning encourages and supports breastfeeding we also have the appropriate facilities and equipment for bottle-feed infants. Menus are displayed within each room for your information.

The individual needs of all children and families are accommodated when preparing meals. This includes allergies, preferences and cultural and religious restrictions.
