Stable, Secure Education for your Children

Welcome
As a mother to three boys and an educator, I believe all children need to feel a sense of security where they have a feeling of belonging, being and becoming. Anchorage Early Learning is that exact foundation where your child can come to our centre and feel secure and develop in those crucial first 5 years of their lives.

The phenomenal caring educators who treat every child as their own, the awesome natural large yards that allow the children to explore and play, the wonderful well thought out curriculum, the amazing community spirit that makes everyone feel welcome.. the list goes on and on. My son loves going each week and I love dropping him off knowing he is in excellent hands!
Nick and I would like to say thank you for creating an environment where learning was really enjoyable for our son. He loved attending Anchorage Early Learning and the friends and educators that he became very fond of. From the day he started to the day he finished there was not a day where he didn’t want to go to school. The experience that he has gained from Anchorage has prepared him for kindergarten this year and the process to get to where he is has been greatly appreciated. His confidence in all aspects have improved in the year that he attended Anchorage. We look forward to enrolling our youngest son in the near future with you as our experience with Anchorage has been outstanding.
My son has attended your daycare for over two years & it has honestly become a second home for my little family. Always a friendly caring face for him to have a hug with as I have left in the morning & always a kind, informative face telling me about his day at pick- up! All the staff go above & beyond to make all the children & their families feel welcomed, safe & loved.
It’s a hard decision as a mum to leave your child but knowing my son was in the best, caring, giving & loving hands made my transition back to work much easier.
Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff for not just looking after my son for all these years but for being his friend, carer, mentor & for guiding him along to grow into a gorgeous, caring & thoughtful little boy.
Also for welcoming me, my husband, our other little boy & our grandparents into your centre, always making us all feel more then welcome !
Forever Grateful to you all!
“I have two children who attending Anchorage Early Learning. I cannot praise them enough for being such a nurturing place for my children.
My son who is in Preschool group loves his “school”. He is proud to name his “school” to anyone who asks and totally willing to leave the home if it is his “school” day. He knows he will have much fun there and he can even visit his little sister in her Nursery room “if she needs my help”. He totally belongs to the place, making great friends, earning confidence and great experiences. He came home telling us about the days which is full of activities i.e spot the deers, playing sports.
My little daughter started her Nursery journey when she was 15 months. At that time, she was an exclusively breastfed baby, understood little English, had never been with any carer other than mom and dad. It was no doubt that the first days was very difficult for her and the educators. However, the Nursery team was very patient, caring, gentle and respectful to my little girl. They updated my everything happened during the day and patiently support my daughter throughout the day. My daughter gradually adjusted to the new environment after a few months. And now she loves Nursery. She knows all the edcucators’ names, her friends’ name. She eats, drinks, dances, sings and talks. She knows how to express her need and her passion. If the weather is good, she will be allowed to adventure to the big yard to collect leaves, run and meet her big brother. Such a lovely centre!
Anchorage is truly a safe and nurturing environment in which children are thriving every day. I always feel at rest when I leave my children with Anchorage Early Learning. “
“As a first time Mum returning to work, I was extremely worried about finding a childcare centre that is safe and welcoming, with educators that would care for and nurture my baby like I had for his first 10 months. The process of elimination began with the first phone call to the centre. Not only was the Director, Lauren, pleasant and inviting, she offered for me to drop in at any time to meet her and the educators, and have a look at the facility. On my initial visit, all of the staff were friendly and answered all of my questions. The educators knew each child by name and it was clear to me from all the happy little faces that this caring, family like environment was the place for my son. When I dropped him off the first day, Lauren was there assuring me that my baby would be OK and that I could call her anytime to see how he was doing. Anytime I called, she would check in on him and let me know how he was, and what he was doing – that extra bit of information gave it that special touch.
My son is now 2.5yrs old, has moved into the “big boys room” (toddlers) and he is learning so much. The educators use the ‘Kinderloop App’ and I can see what activities he has been involved in throughout the day. It is clear that children at the centre are treated as individuals, with their own strengths and needs. I am so grateful for the loving care, guidance, and education my son receives. He loves going to daycare!”
We are incredibly blessed to have our son and now daughter attending Anchorage Early Learning. The staff are amazing and the love, care, dedication and guidance they show each child and their family is truly heartwarming. They provide a home away from home for both my children, providing them with a safe, warm, loving and encouraging environment to learn, discover and grow as well as extra love and hugs when they are needed.
The educators and staff make the centre so special and fun and the photos and stories that are shared with me throughout the day reinforces this. I believe that the best way to judge what a centre is like is by your how children feel, and I have to say that it is an extra special feeling when you go to pick up your children and they don’t want to leave! Thank you so much for all you do for both my children.
We have been a family of Anchorage since 2011 when we first enrolled our 6-month-old in care. Being so young, I was experiencing so much hesitancy and anxiety about the type of care she would get at a day care centre when she wasn’t with me (typical first time mum reaction!) The staff and director at the centre were nothing short of amazing, they supported Ruby in her transition (and me through the tears!) and this started a 6-year partnership between my family and our wonderful centre. The staff cared for, and most importantly loved Ruby as an extension of how my husband and I cared for her at home, and as a working parent nothing is more valuable than the reassurance that your child is with such competent and caring people. As Ruby transitioned to big school and baby #2 was arriving, there was not question where he would go when the time came for me to return to work. I love dropping Hunter off and seeing how happy he is to see his favourite carers and little friends, and have not once ever been concerned with how he was going away from me – because I know how cared for he is!
If a family is looking for a centre that is true extension of the love and care their babies have at home – then I couldn’t recommend Anchorage highly enough. Their experience, long standing staff, and caring environment have enabled me to return to work, knowing how happy, safe and loved my children have been in their care.
After visiting a number of centres in the local area, it was the warmth of the Nursery educators that helped us make the decision to send our son to Anchorage Early Learning. I was invited to attend the nursery for a few mornings before my son officially started his enrolment, helping him adjust to the new environment. During this time, I was able to see first hand how much the educators care for and engage with the children. The Kinderloop App has enabled me to communicate with the centre about my son’s interests and our weekend activities. In the Toddler Room, the educators incorporated this into some of their daily activities which extended his interests and strengthened his sense of belonging. Now as a preschooler, my son especially enjoys the weekly Multi-Sports Program and loves to show us the new skills he has learnt from his coach. He has made great friends at Anchorage and I will most definitely be sending my youngest to the Nursery when the time comes.
My little 2 year old absolutely loves his ‘school’. He comes home each day talking about his teachers, his friends and all the great things he did during the day. I was a little apprehensive starting him in care at first as he tends to get overwhelmed in new situations and with large groups of people, but the teachers at Anchorage picked this up straight away. They have realised that he likes routine so every day they go out of their way to give him a cuddle and make him feel at ease. He has come out of his shell and I am amazed every day at the things he has learnt and how much he has developed since attending Anchorage. My husband and I are so thankful our son is attending such a fantastic ‘school’.
My two boys have attended Anchorage Early Learning since they were little babies. My eldest son started school this year and I cannot praise the staff enough for what they have done to prepare him for this big step. As a shy child, he developed self-confidence and skills that have made the adjustment so much easier. We call Anchorage Learning our second family as they have been there from the beginning to nurture and care for my children and have provided such a loving and safe environment for them to grow up in. The Centre provides such a happy, social & educational place that both boys adore. I know that my family will be extremely sad to say goodbye when the time comes for my youngest to start school.
Watching children discover the little things in life and realising they can do something for themselves is priceless and rewarding and we hope to celebrate these special moments together. We look forward to seeing you at Anchorage Early Learning.
